Toen (Then)

Toen (Then) (Over ‘t IJ festival Amsterdam 2013)
Concept: Emma Berentsen

Performer/Writer: Emma Berentsen
Art Direction and design: Amber Verstegen

Toen was created in collaboration with Amber Verstegen with the support of Alexandra Broeder as part of Over ‘t IJ festival in Amsterdam. Toen is a visual and audio participatory performance of 20 minutes for a small audience. It is a performance based on memories and follows the story of a boy that drowned himself in the water. A performance where the audience members are invited to balance between life and death.

Project supported by ‘Over t IJ festival’ in Amsterdam.
